His dam, Sunset Eb's Harmony-12131- was Grand Champion female at the 2000 NEHCA Fall Show, the 2000 Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, and was Reserve Grand Champion Female at the 2001 National Western Stock Show in Denver. Harmony's dam, Ebony- Lass of Sunset -8590- was two time Grand Champion female at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair (1999, 2002).

Harmony's sire, Gusgurlach of Windrush was 5 time get of sire Champion at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair . He has also been get of sire at the 1999, 2000, 2001 New York State Fair and the1999 & 2000 NEHCA show... Gusgurlach has sired a long list of champions from the United States and Canada. Also a half brother to Limited Edition, Sunset Next Edition (dam:Sunset Eb's Harmony) was Reserve Grand Champion bull at the 2004 Royal Agricultural Winter Fair.

At the 2003 Royal Agricultural Winter Fair a company called igenity.L lested the champions of all breeds for their leptin genotype (marbling gene) . Limited Edition was certified to have the L-tt gene. Leptin is a hormone in the fat metabolism pathway that has been shown to affect the amount of fat deposition in beef. A DNA variant alters a critical amino acid which affects the folding of this hormone. The leaner cattle have a "C" and the more marbled cattle a "T" in the critical position.
